Partnering with Darren to create Loantec in 2019, Ryan has been a broker since 2009 where he started as a settlement officer at then progressed his way up to being a finance broker and then eventually branching out and owning his own brokerage. Ryan’s journey started in debt recoveries, but he’s always been passionate about helping people and found the finance side of the job more appealing.
Growing up in the small town of Turangi in New Zealand’s central north island, Ryan completed secondary school and then enlisted in the New Zealand Army as an infantryman. He served overseas in both East Timor and Afghanistan. After completing his service, he decided to move to Australia, ultimately settling on the Gold Coast where he took up combat sports. Ryan has competed professionally in mixed martial arts and boxing, and in December 2016 he fought NRL Legend, and now sports commentator, Paul Gallen in a boxing bout at Cronulla Football Stadium in front of thousands.
When he’s not working Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, including fiancée and 3 young children, living an active lifestyle, getting outdoors and out on the water whenever possible. He can often be found maintaining, gardening, or renovating his home in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

After identifying a gap in the market, Darren successfully developed No1 Property Guide into one of the most prominent no or low deposit systems in Australia. Darren has built a company dedicated to helping everyday Australians enter the property market and achieve the dream of owning their own home.
After giving away business to 3rd party brokers who didn’t look after his clients to his standards, Darren reached out to Ryan, who had delivered finance on multiple occasions with a 5-star service mentality. With this, Loantec was created, and now the two businesses complement and build off the success of each other.
Outside of business life, Darren’s kids are his world and his biggest motivation to push harder in life. He loves keeping fit and being outdoors, some of his favourite activities include wakesurfing, snowboarding, surfing, and paddle boarding. In the evening Darren likes to kick back and relax with good food and drinks with his friends and family.
